Statesmen Character

I wanted to take a minute to praise the character and actions of your MS boys basketball team. My son plays at Liberty Christian Academy and we played you twice this year.

Both times your team won, but in my opinion New Hope found the right balance between playing hard, being competitive and respecting their teammates and their opponent.

In fact, I made a special trip with my son to watch NH play Grace for the COAL championship.

I thought it would be a good opportunity for my son to see an example of young men displaying character and respect, even in the heat of intense competition.

I was not disappointed. Even in defeat NH modeled character, class and respect and it created a great opportunity for my son and I to talk about how to win and lose in a way that pleases God.

Thank you.

Thank You Coach Roese!

Dear Coach Roese,

As we celebrate the 100th win for the NHCA Varsity Boys Basketball program, I wanted to take a moment to say, “Thank you!”  I feel everyone that has ever played for you and everyone that has ever coached alongside you will echo these sentiments.  I am inspired by you everyday and I appreciate you welcoming me to NHCA and showing me what it means to be a Statesman. You are the reason we adhere to our Five Core Values:  Family, Character, Class, Commitment, and Passion.  You exemplify these values in your life and, along with a lot of wins, you instill these values in every young man that comes through the program.

I appreciate you, Coach!  Thank you!

Mr. Roseberry

Statesmen Earn 100th Victory!

Congratulations to Coach Roese and the Varsity Boys Basketball program for earning the team’s 100th win during last night’s thrilling come-from-behind victory against Horizon Science 58-56.

We would like to invite all former NHCA players and families to come out and celebrate with us on Saturday, January 25 at the Statehouse!  The Varsity Girls take on Grove City Christian at 4:30pm followed by the Varsity Boys against Genoa Christian at 6:00pm.

Statesmen Exemplify Five Core Values

The five Core Values of the NHCA Athletic Program are CLASS, CHARACTER, FAMILY, COMMITMENT, and PASSION.  These values were ALL on display during last night’s thrilling 7th grade basketball showdown between Madison Christian and New Hope! So proud of these Statesmen!  A special shoutout to the members of the 8th Grade Boys and MS Girls teams that cheered the boys on to a 28-26 come from behind victory!  GO STATESMEN!

Statesmen Give to Toys for Tots

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” ~ ‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The NHCA boys and girls basketball teams recently donated items to the Toys-for-Tots Toy Drive sponsored by the Circleville Fire Department.

NHCA Senior Joey Herron said, “It was a great experience to be able to give back to our community!”  Junior Rebecca Highfield added, “I enjoyed buying gifts for the children in our community!  It was a great experience and I hope we can do it again next Christmas!”

The Statesmen would like to thank Mrs. Julie Heidish for organizing this service project for our student-athletes and everyone at the CFD for allowing us to be part of this awesome effort! Go Statesmen!

Coach McCallister,
Thanks again for hosting us and for a great game. I wanted to pass along some feedback. My daughter (#11) commented on how much she enjoyed the game because your team was the “cleanest, nicest and best sports” she had seen in a long time. It was a good game between two teams who fought hard in a positive environment. You have a very good team and a beautiful facility and gym. Thank you again for having us and good luck the rest of the season!
